Funny you should say that...

Well, Melissa, turns out I DID make you something out of that fabric.

I made my sister in-law Monica a bag awhile ago, and ever since then people have been bugging me to make them one. Apparently they really like rust colored fabric. Well... there is not a lot of rust colored fabric out there. So I got some different colors.

This is what I made Monica's out of. It had a brown lining, and I think it is way cute. I had made so much of those bags that I got sick of them. So I was wondering why people like those bags so much. They are actually really cute and really easy to make! It took me an hour to make all three of them.

Sorry Monica, if I made you another one, there would be a riot.

:)

Lori's

This was supposed to be her birthday present, but I never got around to giving it to her. Don't worry Lori, I'll give it to you today. I made all the bags way bigger than the pattern says to make it. Bigger space is always bueno.

Maria's

From the look of your baby's room, I'm assuming that your theme is red. Therefore, I made you a red one! Oh yeah, you were there when I bought this fabric.

Melissa's

And this one is for you, Meliss. :)

I don't know if the dark color will hide stains, although if it did get any stains, I'm sure you would be able to get them out.

I GOT A NEW SEWING MACHINE!

Aaaaaaaaah!

I got fed up with my old piece of junk one. I thought that I was going to have to get one off of eBay or something. But no! I got a new one! This is my FOURTH sewing machine, and it is actually new! It sews so smoothly... and quietly.

I started sewing right away.

My first creations are out of this fabric. Hee hee, I can't tell you what they are though.

Fall flowers bring... flowers.

Yeah I know, it's a dumb post title.

These are our fall flowers. The day of the equinox (I didn't realize it was the equinox at the time though.) I went outside and got knee deep in plants and started taking pictures. Why is it that yellow flowers never come out looking good? They always have sort of a grayish tint to them. It is so annoying. The only yellow flowers that come out as successful pictures are sunflowers.

I have decided that if I ever went on a mission, I would want to go to Ireland. I have always wanted speak Gaelic. Ah... I love that language. Maybe that's why I've been listening to Celtic Women a lot lately. I've gotten a lot of the words down, even though I have no idea what they mean.

Hurricane has a lot of school spirit. We played Pineview tonight for their Homecoming... which was a bad choice on their part. We slaughtered them. I guess slaughtered is too harsh a word. Lets just say that we REALLY beat them. Anyway, their stands were pretty full, but the guest side where Hurricane was sitting was jam packed. We were all wearing our red Tiger Army shirts with painted faces. It was pretty fun and I bet I'm going to be hoarse in the morning from all that cheering. 27-7 baby.

My cat and I just had a staring contest. It was pretty intense. She won, of course. You got to admit, it is a bit unnerving to have a cat's golden eyes staring at you. Actually, she didn't win, she blinked a lot. But I was too scared to announce triumph, so I just let those blinks go and went on with it until she looked away. I guess cat vs. human staring contests are what you do when you are dead tired.

Do you remember that one post that I did where I was mourning the end of season 2 of Merlin? Well, after NINE MONTHS, Merlin has come back! I was so happy and checked every hour to see if it was on the internet yet. It only plays in Europe so I have to wait until it come out online. AH! Merlin! Also, Bones has come back. I wasn't too happy about the premiere, but I think this season is going to be good. Brennan HAS to figure out her love for Booth sooner or later. I'm sensing that it will happen in this season.

I am really random in my posts. I don't really have anything vitally important to tell you... I'm hungry. That's about all the news I have at this moment. Oh yeah, tomorrow we start Flower rehearsals... yippee. I will be dead tired by the end of tomorrow.

I seriously can't wait for October. I don't know why, but I think it will be a good month. I can just feel it. Ew... I smell like Pineview. I must now go scrub myself with a whole bottle of body wash.

Goodbye, good luck, and good riddance.

Oh yeah, and goodnight.

Veronica Martinez.

First of all...

Happy 1st Birthday Luke! Gosh, isn't he cute?! He was a bit grumpy at first because he had just woken up from a nap. But he soon dug into his cupcake and got chocolate everywhere. Happy Birthday!

Now onto the juicy stuff.

Veronica Martinez

This wonderful and gorgeous person is my best friend.

She knows basically all about me and I know everything about her. As someone once said about us, "You two are tighter than peanut butter and jelly sandwiches". Yeah, I guess that's a good way to put it. Wherever Veronica is, I am. Wherever I am, she's right there with me. The sad thing is, when I first met her, I didn't want to talk to her! She was the new girl and I was really shy. I would like to thank Ms. Hupka with all my heart for pairing me up with her for that planet assignment.

I was sitting on my bed listening to my book on tape when I had a sudden urge to write about my best friend. So I paused it and came here. She reads my blog and she will get mad at me for doing this. PSH! She needs to hear this anyway.

Veronica, although she may not think it, it just plain AWESOME. I shall list the things that she is.

*Awesome
*Beautiful. Yes Veronica, you are beautiful. DON'T TRY AND DENY IT! It's in written word and cannot be erased. So just live with your beautiful self and be happy.
*Amazing artist
*Very funny. She plays off my strange humor in a way that I don't think anybody else could. We know each other just that well.
*Proclaimer of which boys are cute. She never holds back. Haha
*Movie quoter
*Do I have to say it again? MY BEST FRIEND.

Sometimes we get in little annoying fights, but I can always make her laugh and forget about it. After all, sometimes I'm wrong and don't want her to know. :D One time we got in a fight about how Aang holds his staff in the beginning of each episode as he stands on the mountain. We were at Girl's Camp when it started, so we couldn't look it up. We thought Veronica was right for awhile, until we got home. Turned out I was right! She owed me a Butterfinger. Anyway, on to other things.

I'm pretty sure sometimes she thinks I am crazy beyond reason. But I can say the same for her. We are the Dynamic Duo as people call us.

Now, a letter to Veronica.

Dear Veronica,

Hello my dear, wonderful, awesome, gorgeous, funny friend. I just want to say that no matter what, I will always be your best friend and sister at heart. I will always be here for you. Through your hard times and boy problems, I will always be there. I will let you rant to me about boys as long as I can rant to you about the latest plots in Merlin. Always remember this, and do not forget it, you are a good person. You are also a beautiful person. And again, it has now been put in writing, so you can't deny it. Also, I am the Avatar. You can be the next Avatar in line. Airbending rules. I love you with all my heart (in a friendly and sisterly way of course). Don't ever change!

Love, Aang
(haha, I'm sorry, but Aang sounds so much cooler than Toph. Don't worry, Toph still rocks.)

Goings on.

(Ria, I stole most of your pictures.)

On Labor Day we had school off, I had nothing to do and was just lounging around the house. Luckily, my sister saved me from boredom and invited me to go fishing with her and her husband! Thanks guys, I had a lot of fun! And yes Maria, I haven't seen you laugh that hard in a long time. Ha, it was great.

These pictures probably aren't in order, and I don't really want to explain ALL of what we did. All you have to know is, it was fun! You can look at Maria's blog if you want to know more. It's on the little sidebar thingy.

Maria and I

I really don't know what I was doing here...

In all our floating around and fishing, we only caught a little tiny fish. Shay tried getting it off the hook, but probably ended up killing it the end. May you rest in peace little fish.

Yesterday me and some of my friends went boating out on Quail Lake. I, of course, didn't get on the tube. But everyone else did and had a lot of fun!

Veronica waiting to get going

This is my friend Myles! We call him "Osito" or Little Bear. I have to say, he is a pretty talented kid. I haven't quit figured out all that he's done, but I do know that he has done gymnastics and wait for it... BALLET! Yes my friends, he has taken ballet. In fact, I think he's better than me. At least he's more flexible. Anyway, we were glad that we got to take him along.

Veronica, Myles, and Natasha

Later, we met up with our friend Zak. Sadly, our boat was acting weird, so they couldn't really get any speed. But we had fun anyway!

They were really sore afterwards. Ha, I wasn't!

After we went boating, we went to the Homecoming game. I have noticed that Hurricane has A LOT of school spirit. It was a ton of fun and we won! 55 to 21. WHOO!

Today I rolled out of bed and went to Nutcracker practice. I must say, I had forgotten how much yelling and confusion there is in rehearsals. But nonetheless, it was fun.

I almost stomped my foot and rolled my eyes when I found out what part I got in Snow. THE SAME ONE AS LAST YEAR. You see, the picture above shows me dancing the part that drove me to frustration. My teacher yelled and pestered at me until I got the step right. Actually, I never really got it down. Luckily, this year I get a different position later in the dance.

Then I went to Arabian practice! Wow, that dance may look easy, it's not. But it is way fun and I am so glad that I got this part. My feet were swollen my the time I got home. That's never happened before, not a happy experience.

Anyway, all is well, and well is all... or whatever.

Kelp is as soft as elephant fur.

I couldn't think of a title.

No, I don't know if kelp is as soft as elephant fur. I don't even think elephants have fur.

I felt the need to do a post, but I have nothing to talk about. Here is something my dance teacher said to us on Thursday:

"Have fun this weekend, it's your last!"

Thanks for cheering me up Deborah, I really appreciate it.

Anyway. The picture above is a totally random picture that was taken on a random day on account of randomness. It probably has nothing to do with what I'm saying, but I just thought I'd put it to some use.

Today in Young Women's we were having a lesson on standards. Our teacher was giving us the usual lecture on music and started naming off some popular songs that everybody listens to, but doesn't necessarily listen to the lyrics. One of the songs she named was "I Got a Feelin'" by the Black Eyed Peas. Then she started singing us some of the lyrics to show us that even though the beat is good, the words aren't, and that we shouldn't listen to it. I leaned over to one of my friends and whispered: "Don't they play that song at stake dances?" She nodded and we had a little laugh.

I have been listening to a book on CD lately on my Discman. So mostly you'll find me sitting on the recliner with my earbuds in while chewing on a fruit roll up. It's funny because people think that I can't hear them so they accentuate their mouth movements and use their hands a lot. Sometimes I pretend I can't hear them so they'll do it again.

I have discovered that I am not very good at ceramics. Enough said about that.

I realized today that I have never called clear tape "Scotch tape". It sounds strange to me and I doubt I will ever call it that.

I can't decided on a background for my blog. It's really annoying because I can't find one that I really like.

Did you go to Peach Days? It was really fun and I even participated in the mad rush to get candy from the Candy Cannon.

And...... that's all for now folks!

Nutcracker, Nutcracker, Nutcracker.

Nutcracker!

Last Saturday were Nutcracker auditions. They were very nerve wracking and I messed up a ton. BUT. Love conquered all (actually it was luck) and I got some of the parts I wanted! Whew, I'm so relieved that auditions are over.

First on the dance agenda:

Snow.
I got this last year and had a lot of fun with it. No matter how many times my teacher yelled at me because I couldn't get it right. I must have done well in the performance because I got it again!

Flower.
I got this last year too, except this year I am a demi soloist! So I'm one of the four girls surrounding the Flower Queen! I'm pretty excited about it. I just remember being so frustrated with the flower hoops and how they would catch on everything. I was always envious of the demi soloists because they didn't have the hoops.

AND LAST OF ALL... MY ALL TIME DREAM (well, one of them)

ARABIAN!
YAY!!! I have wanted Arabian for three years, and now I'm going to dance it! I'm so excited. Even though the costumes will reveal my blindingly white stomach. I am soooo excited.

Bring out the foundation, fake eyelashes, and red lipstick. Cuz I'm in the Nutracker.
