This week the weather has been getting colder and colder! I really don't like cold weather. So, for the next few months, this is what I will be seeing everyday.

Today, I was in a particularly serious mood. In English we had to write a poem about being unconquerable, so with me being in a serious mood and all, I decided to write my own poem (not about being unconquerable). So, in all my classes whenever I had some free time, I worked on my poem. I just barely finished it a few minutes ago. The paper below is my scratch paper.
Dancer
With my hair wound tightly 'round my head,
with my ribbons neatly tied.
While my feet do intricate footwork,
across the floor I glide.
The music swirls around me,
it fills my sunlit soul.
While with practiced ease,
I rise up on my toes.
I have learned to ignore the pain,
my emotions fill my mind.
The sweat trickles down my face,
While the music gathers speed.
As I spin across the floor,
the music slowly quiets.
The blur of my feet slows with time.
While I the dancer,
danced.

Another nephew to love!
Yesterday morning my 2nd nephew was born! He is so cute! His name is
Luke Toy Yoder
He looks exactly like Mark (I think all their kids will). I haven't gotten to see him yet, but I am going up today. I can't wait to hold him!
Poor Madelyn was there when he was born! Melissa was supposed to be induced on October 1st, but he came early! Since it was unexpected, they had to take Madelyn along.
She sure loves her baby brother!
I have jokingly told everyone that I am going to nickname him Luke Skywalker. Maybe even just Skywalker. But don't worry Melissa, I won't do that. Well, maybe every once in awhile, but not all the time.

Ballet
Every year my school holds something called Reflections. It is where kids in our school get to enter something they have done in the Fine Arts. So me and my friend Veronica (who is in fact, a fabulous artist) decided that I would take a picture of me dancing (using the self timer) and enter it, then she would draw it and enter it.
So we went into my brother's and sister-in-laws basement, which we made into a dance studio, and took pictures. It was really fun! Even though I am enormously sore.
Hee hee. Veronica was really grossed out when I did the splits.
Oof, ow, ouch. I'm going to go hobble my way to bed now. See ya!

Since I have not done a new post in awhile, I will tell you what I am going to be doing this week! Last Friday I got home from school, checked my email, and went instantly bored. So, I went into the sewing room. I always find things to do in there. So I looked around, and lo and behold, I found a skirt pattern and some fabric. So, I made a skirt. It took me 2 hours and 16 minutes. I had a very sore back after. Anyway, I don't have a picture of the one I made. But, I am making three more this week and I have pictures of the fabric I'm using. Viola.

Oh yeah.
La de dah.
I got my flu shot today. My arm hurts like crazy. So I am putting pretty things on my blog to distract me from the pain.
In my English class we are reading the book Anthem. I can't remember who wrote it. It is a really good book! It is about what life will be like after our time. It was written in the 30's. I suggest you read it.
Ouch. I am going to go eat some chicken enchiladas. Mmm...
