Footwear.

Warning: This post is utterly useless and long.
(Also, I am in love with the color green. So there will be a lot of it.)

I wrote this post entirely out of boredom. Actually I can't even remember why I decided to do this post. Hm... Anyway. Shoes, they've been around for a long time.

Some really random facts about shoes:

- The earliest known shoes date from about 8000 to 7000 BCE.

- Until around 1800, shoes were made without differentiation for the left or right foot.

- In the Middle East, parts of Africa, Korea and Thailand, it is considered rude to show the soles of the feet to others (even accidentally, such as by crossing the legs).

-Shoe throwing is a great insult in some areas in the Middle East and in India.

- In Thailand, it is an extreme insult for the foot, socks, or shoes to touch someone's head or be placed over it.

- In literature and film, an empty shoe or a pair of shoes signifies death.

And there you have it. I was looking through my closet the other day and realized that I have a lot of shoes. So I decided to take pictures of all of them. My dad took most of them, but then he went to Salt Lake so I had to resort to bending and twisting to get a good shot of my shoes.

You tend to gather up a lot of shoes in your closet when your shoe size doesn't change in four years.

Now be prepared to be bored (you can pick whatever emotion you want to feel) with my vast amount of shoes.

I will amuse myself by naming the shoes. I'm in a strange mood today.
(My mom suggested that I put asterisks by the pictures that I took myself. I guess I will do that.)

Glory of Girls Camp.
(Worn to every Girls Camp)

Lost and Found
(Lost them for a year, then found them under my bed)

Trek Across the Mountains.
(Worn while driving through mountains to get to ballet)

Left: *Fluffy Christmas, Top Right: *Oops, I fixed it (One of the bows ripped off, I was too lazy to fix it, so I cut the other one off. Thank you for the shoes Meliss!), Bottom Right: Long Time No See (I wear them every year at Christmas)

*My Muck-lucks.

*Grandma Murset Red
(My Grandma made them for me)

*Black Holes
(They are black, and they have holes in them)

Top: *Pointe Shoe-like (Uncomfortable and very stiff), Bottom Left: *White 'n Sparkly, Bottom Right: Most Comfortable

*Dorothy's Ruby Slippers
(One of my favorite pair, no matter how much they dig into my skin)

*Breath In, Breath Out.
(I put them on after dance. They allow my feet to breath...)

Ah... Summer

Top: One Two Three Wobble (First pair of high heels, they are hard to walk in), Bottom Left: Big Foot (I think they make my feet look big.), Bottom Right: *F-u-z-z-y

Paired With Armor
(I think I will be a Roman Soldier for Halloween)

*Wedding Day Ouch
(Wore them the day my sister got married. Should have worn shoes with more arch support.)

*Gift from Lovely Sister
(My sister gave them to me. Thank you my lovely sister Maria!)

Top: I-never-wear-them-but-I-keep-them-because-they-are-cute, Bottom: DISCOUNT. (I absolutely love Ross)

*Awesomeness Comfortableness.
(Did you know I get the majority of my shoes from Ross? They are all awesome)

Favorite-Awesome-Pretty-Lovely-Whimsical-Cheerful-Delightful
(These make me feel so whimsical and happy. My favorite pair of shoes ever.)

Matches With Everything

Top Left: Silver Flower, Top Right: Too Loose, Bottom: *Worn Out to Bits (I wore these almost every Sunday until I was sick of the square toed shoes. I got Most Comfortable to replace them.)

Power of a Woman
(I love these shoes. They make me feel like I should be walking down a fashion runway.)

Dancing in the Fields
(I feel so graceful and ready to dance when I put these on.)

Splashing in Puddles
(I begged my parents for years to get me galoshes. I didn't really need them because we've been in a drought for as long as I can remember. My mom finally gave in and bought me some.)

Whew. That took a lot of energy.

I love shoes. I think I always will.

Lucky me, I have mastered the art of walking in high heels. The secret? Don't step carefully, it makes you look pained and uncomfortable. The first time I wore One Two Three Wobble, my friend said that it looked like I was having a difficult time walking. Then she asked me if something was wrong with my knees...
Just let your legs swing. If you trip, blame it on the defective carpet.

And... I have nothing else to say. Over 32 pairs of shoes. I have more that I didn't feel like taking pictures of. That is a ton of shoes.

Thank you Dad for taking pictures for me! I love you!

P.S. Why does the end of the school year excitement have to be spoiled with end of level testing? Math testing is the worst.

Great names for such nice shoes. You should asterisk the photos you took by your contortionist self. I love this post. If I were a teacher grading it, I'd give you an A+.
